New post for a New Year!

Okay, so I am a little overdue with keeping in touch. Thanksgiving...great. Christmas...great. New Year's Eve...great. That pretty much sums it up I guess. Alright, I'll elaborate just a little. So, I decided that I am going to give a theme to each new year of my life. This is a long-standing tradition of mine that started...last year. 2007 was "The Year of Good Financial Decisions." It started off with a bang, but kind of fizzled out by the end of February. There's always next year, right? Which brings me to this year's theme...2008 is going to be "The Year of Living With Intention" or "The Year of Living Intentionally." The fact that I can't decide how to word my theme, perfectly illustrates my need for living with intention or intentionally or well, you get it. I don't like to make decisions. I like people to tell me what to do and then I just do it. When it comes to making decisions, I usually wait just long enough for one of my potential options to fall through for one reason or another (missed the deadline, sold out, ran out of time, money, energy, etc.) and then voila! Only one choice left! NO DECISION! It's brilliant in a way. On the other hand after having the last couple decades pretty much fall into my lap out of complete rebellion from decisiveness, I am ready for a change. I like to think of it as a mini-early-mid-life crisis. I am looking around and thinking, how did I end up here? Who's life am I really living anyway? I admit it sounds a little bleak. I actually enjoy my life. I have very few regrets and I know of at least 2, or maybe 3, fantastic choices I have made to get me where I am today. But other than that, it feels like a giant cosmic accident. But NO LONGER! Yesterday officially began "The Year of Living with Intention." See, there, I decided.
